Just like a phone call, Walkie Talkieis the only app (for now) that does a real-time, full duplex or conferencing, voice communication, using Wi-Fi or 3G/Edge.
It just streams audio between points on the internet, host servers aren't necessary, so it can't be regulated or taken away.
Easy to set-up -just typing your username, your buddy's username, and hit call- the no fee Walkie Talkie app will work also if both devices are on the same Wi-Fi, using minimal CPU/memory and bandwidth.
Additionally, the App, works with a free Mac/PC client that you can download form the developer website, free to use.
